
IRON DEFICIENCY EFFECTS AND CURE
Iron deficiency is a condition where the body lacks enough iron to produce adequate hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. This can lead to fatigue, weakness, pale skin, and shortness of breath. It’s commonly caused by poor diet, blood loss, or inability to absorb iron properly.
Effects of Iron Deficiency on the Body:
- Fatigue and Weakness: Without enough iron, your muscles don’t get enough oxygen, leading to constant tiredness.
- Pale Skin: Low hemoglobin levels cause a paler complexion.
- Shortness of Breath: Less oxygen in the bloodstream means you might feel winded even with mild activity.

To cure iron deficiency we should focus on increasing intake of iron-rich foods and also improve the iron absorption on our body. In-order to improve the absorption of iron vitamin C rich foods (Orange, Lemon, Tomato, Bell Peppers, Broccoli) should be added in our diet along with the following natural iron-rich foods.
- Dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, swiss chard)
- Legumes (lentils, chickpeas, soybeans, kidney beans)
- Tofu and tempeh
- Pumpkin, sesame, and flaxseeds
- Nuts (especially cashews and almonds)
- Whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, fortified cereals)
- Dried fruits (apricots, raisins, prunes)
